Why Odoo

These are the reasons I use it, and the reasons I recommend it.

It is open

The code can be read, changed, and it stays yours. It is the largest open source business software project in the world, and nobody can lock you out of your own data.

It is modular

Sales, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, invoicing: you start with what you need today and add the rest when you need it, always in the same system.

It gets better every year

A new version comes out every year, and an Italian community adapts it to Italian rules: e-invoicing, VAT, banks.

Informatic Applications is a one-person business: on the other side of the table you always find me, from the first call to the last upgrade.

Finding out whether Odoo fits you

Before installing anything I look at how you work: who does what, where the data lives, what gets stuck. Then I tell you what would change and what would not.

Getting it running

I configure Odoo around your processes, bring in the customers and products you already have, and teach it to the people who will use it every day.

Adapting it

When something is missing, I write it. If it can help others too, I publish it: the code is on GitHub, available to everyone.

Looking after it

Version upgrades, fixes, new requests. Business software is not just delivered: it is looked after.

Community

Nobody does Odoo alone.

Odoo Community is written by thousands of people, and many of them meet in associations, groups and conferences. I am part of them: that is where you learn things first, and where you give back what you have learned.
